  I really wanted to like this place, as the idea is awesome. However our reality for a Friday lunch left us disappointed. The food was good, not great. Rice and peas (beans) were good, plantains were good (if a bit overcooked). Others in my group liked the fried cabbage as well. I had the curry chicken, which was just ok. The sauce was very mild (too mild, imo) and covered up the skin and bones of the meat so you had a hard time avoiding the smaller chicken bones. Just wasn't ideal. Also, there were a total of 11 people in the entire time we were there (90 min) and service, cooking, and checkout was extremely slow. Also extremely friendly. I figure if I give it another shot I will just go for takeout.
