I bought a table and chairs from VCF. When furniture arrived, a chair was defective. I had a giant stain on the top of the chair. I spent over an hour with customer service trying to get this issue resolved. (This is not Easton, but with corporate). They are more than willing to fix the problem, but in order for me to receive the replacement chair, I have to take a day off of work. They will not ship it after 5PM. Take of this review as you want, yes this is probably common with alot of furniture stores, but I invested over 1000 dollars into a piece of furniture, I don't want to invest my vacation days as well.

Sales experience was great. Found exactly what we wanted, ordered it and we were happy. That's where the good part ended. Delivery was scheduled for 2 weeks. Great, because we had family coming in the following weekend. A few days before delivery, they called and said delivery was now delayed until the weekend - when we had family coming in. I protested and they managed to get the delivery in on Saturday so I only had to rearrange part of the weekend. Fine. Not happy but ok. Saturday comes and the couch is delivered and setup. All is good until we are checking it out and one of the recliners just stops working halfway extended. I cant move it and there's no response from the controls. Long story short, after sevwral calls i get a call back a few hours later wanting to schedule a repair guy for A WEEK LATER! Apparently Value City thinks its ok for their customers to keep their broken furniture in an unusable state for a week. I was offered an exchange on Wednesday at least but this weekend is ruined. edit: I want to give credit where credit is due. This should be a review of the store at Easton Town Center. As such, I have to change the number of stars and my overall review. I originally gave a single star due to the frustration I had with delays and problems, but that really had little to do with the store itself. Al, the salesman who helped us find the couch was awesome. he did a great job . When I had to call the store, the young man on the phone was extrememly helpful, and if he didn't know something her found someone who did to get me the correct info. I went into the store to complain and Mitch, one of the managers listened to my complaints and admitted that sometimes power recliners have initial problems with cabling (bad cable routing, too short of a cable length, etc.) He then went above and beyond by showing me how everything was routed under the recliner (yes he flipped it over in the store) and what I could check on mine to try and get it working. This was awesome service. In the long run, nothing helped and the recliner is still stuck, but I felt like they cared and wanted to help. I have a exchange scheduled for Wednesday and if the delivery and exchange people care half as much as the store people do, everything should be fine.
